Hi!

I’m a student based in Montreal, Canada and this is what I’m into:

Born and raised in Montpellier, South of France, I’ve lived in Paris, Lille and now Montréal. If I get lucky, I’ll also live in many other places.

I currently study Management (Human Resources and Strategy) at McGill University.

I love journalism. I worked as a campus editor at Le Délit, the francophone newspaper at McGill. I contribute to The McGill Daily and CKUT radio. I’m particularly interested in new ways of engaging the reader in the production of news and the storytelling process.

I’m a big fan of people. In addition to daily people watching, I act as a mentor, guide and role model for 38 first year students who live in Douglas Hall, where I’ve held a Student Academic Staff position for two years. This social worker job has been the highlight of my time at McGill.

I’m passionate about disaster relief and how to make it more efficient. I would love to work for Médecins Sans Frontières or a similar organisation. I believe that disaster relief and development organisations’ main asset is their staff. Too often though, because they are so passionate about what they do and because they work with extremely underprivileged populations, they overlook their own needs. This leads to lower performances, which is at the expense of their programs and the populations they serve. That’s what led me to study Human Resources and Organisational Behavior.

I only blog now and then, when I have something to say, check if you find something you’re into.
